Our credit counseling advice is to account for every wrapping paper and every ribbon you buy – surprisingly, the smaller costs can add up fast too!

Start Saving

Now that you know what you need, it’s time to start saving. Allocate money for your Christmas shopping every week. You can even go to the extent of opening a holiday account and adding money into that, so you make sure you don’t touch that money!

Cash-Only Shopping

So far, you have a plan and have started saving. When you are ready to shop, withdraw the cash you need before getting to the stores. If you are disciplined enough, you can leave your credit cards at home! Eliminating credit card debt can be a headache, especially after the holidays.
