As a nonprofit credit counseling agency, ACCC is always interested in learning about consumers’ financial habits. Each month we post a poll asking questions about a particular financial topic. For the month of June, we wanted to understand your summer vacation spending habits. Of consumers polled, 75% of the respondents who said they have vacation plans have budgeted for their vacation. 40% said they choose a hotel as their choice of accommodation while 33% will stay with friends and family. 25% of the respondents with vacation plans don’t have a plan in place to pay for their vacation (if you’re in this category, our advice is to save ahead of time and budget for a vacation). Most respondents will go on vacation in the US and choose cars as their primary mode of transportation. See these and some more interesting findings in this month’s infographic.
