As a nonprofit credit counseling agency, ACCC is always interested in learning about consumers’ financial habits. ACCC’s September poll focused on a crucial financial topic: budgets. As a result of the poll, we created a budget infographic with all the details. We wanted to understand what’s in your budget and how in-line you are with the recommended spending guidelines. The survey found that 57% of respondents have a working budget. However, 37% are still not aware of the recommended spending guidelines in a household budget. According to Gallup, nearly one in three Americans prepare a detailed written or computerized household budget each month that tracks their income and expenses.
