As a nonprofit credit counseling agency, we post a poll each month asking questions about a particular financial topic. For the month of July, we wanted to understand your preparedness to become a homeowner. Of consumers who are considering buying a home 45% wants to do so within a year. 76% of the respondents considering to buy a home in the near future, said they are familiar or somewhat familiar with the home buying process. However, 85% of the respondents who consider buying a home haven’t taken a first-time homebuyer class. See these and some more interesting findings in this month’s infographic.
