American Consumer Credit Counseling Hosts August Financial Education Webinars

Advance Child Tax Credit on August 10; Leasing vs. Buying a Car on August 25

Boston, MA – August 4, 2021

National nonprofit American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) announced today it is hosting two free webinars during the month of August hosted by Peter Mullen, Community Educator at ACCC.

The webinar on ‘Advance Child Tax Credit’ will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at 12:00pm EST. Many people have already received their first Advance Child Tax Credit on July 15, but few know what to expect.  How much money should eligible parents receive, and how does the process work?  This webinar will address these questions and more to help consumers understand this program and what their options are for enrollment. The webinar on ‘Leasing vs. Buying a Car’ will take place on Wednesday, August 25 at 5:00pm EST. Buying a new or used car comes at a significant cost.  There are other options available, such as leasing a car, but what are the advantages and disadvantages of leasing vs buying?  This webinar will examine some of the ways that can help consumers bring the prices down and the different options available to them.
