American Consumer Credit Counseling Hosts Webinar on Preventing Identity Theft and Fraud

Boston, MA – March 11, 2021

National nonprofit American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) announced today it is hosting its third free financial education webinar on ‘Preventing Identity Theft and Fraud on Wednesday, March 24 from 3:00 to 4:00pm EST.

Hosted by Community Educator Peter Mullen of American Consumer Credit Counseling, the webinar will help consumers recognize the most common and current forms of identity theft and fraud and how they can best combat them. Using a formula to detect, deter and defend, the mission is to put practice and tools into place that help protect consumers before they are compromised. Mr. Mullen will also discuss what steps should be taken if a consumer is a victim of fraud. To register for the webinar, click here.

Mr. Mullen has served in a variety of financial services and training roles for over three decades for for-profit and non-profit organizations. His financial services experience began with program and project management on an institution level, but Mr. Mullen has most enjoyed his recent work directly with people in need of homeownership, financial literacy, and counseling. Currently, Mr. Mullen is passionate about improving people’s lives through education, speaking at neighborhood groups, and advocating sound financial well-being techniques.
