Thank you for a great Budgeting and Credit seminar last week. I’ve received lots of positive feedback. One of the participants was a recent college graduate who has just gotten her first credit card and now feels she’ll be able to avoid the problems that a lot of younger people face.
Thanks so much for coming to Harriet Tubman House for the Finance 101 workshop you gave to educate USES adult literacy and GED students about managing money. Students were very motivated and asked many questions. We very much appreciate your serving our students. You are a very engaging speaker, and clearly spoke to issues very relevant to our inner-city minority population. I look forward to future collaborations.
Thank you so much for the class you offered to our staff on budgeting and managing credit. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. All staff seemed to have learned a number of things that will help them with their personal financial situations.
It would be great to offer classes like this every year as reminders for all of us to make wise decisions in how we manage our moneys and our credit.
Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise with the mothers enrolled in the COMPASS Community College Collaborative program.
Volunteers like you from the community provide a level of expertise beyond what we could offer. Your willingness to participate and act as a partner in this program shows your level of commitment to helping mothers achieve their goals in education and self-sufficiency. In sharing about your life and your career, you modeled the determination and perseverance necessary for success.
Your interactive approach worked well--guiding participants toward conclusions about their approach to spending and saving--opening the doors for a fundamental paradigm shift. Again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with us.
The Independent Living Center of the North Shore and Cape Ann, Inc. is very appreciative of the Money Smart workshop you presented. As the regional agency of services and advocacy for independent living we truly appreciate this workshop which provided valuable information and support to the citizens with disabilities who attended.
Again, thank you for your time and support to ILCNSCA and our struggle to overcome the cultural barriers and to achieve independent living for all in the community.
On behalf of Bellingham’s seniors and the Council on Aging Board, thank you for your interesting and informative talk today on avoiding identity theft and scams at our recent TRIAD luncheon meeting.
We appreciate your time and effort to educate the public about the frightening increase in ID theft and the new varieties and techniques used to prey on unsuspecting individuals.
Be assured that the financial information you provided will go a long way in helping our graduates focus on the task ahead, to enter/reenter the work force and be productive contributors of society.
The course you presented on managing debt is a timely topic considering the current economic conditions. Creating a budget that works amongst many rising costs is of great interest to our employees.
It was a pleasure to have ACCC come to speak on consumer budgets and credit. The students in the age bracket frequently have financial issues. I believe it is beneficial for them to not only understand factual information related to budgets and credit, but to also be aware of resources such as the American Consumer Credit Counseling, Inc. that can be used as a credible resource.
It was an excellent workshop and of great assistance to our students who often struggle with financial issues.
Thank you for providing the trainings regarding Budgeting/Credit and Identity Theft. The staff members here at the Department of Human Services that were able to attend these sessions were very appreciative of the training. The responses to me were “informative”, “when can you do more”, and “the information will be a benefit to me and to my clients”. I look forward to working with you in the future.
We want to thank you for your contribution to the Massachusetts State LifeSmarts Competition. We are extremely thankful you had the chance to partake in the eleventh Massachusetts State LifeSmarts Junior Varsity Competition. Spreading consumer education to high school youths at this time in their lives provides them with vital information they will need in today’s world. As we move forward with this program, we hope you will join us in spreading the word about this program.
Thank you for providing a workshop on “Repairing Your Credit” for WCAC’s IDA participants. The participants really enjoyed the session and learned a lot about how to read their credit reports and respond to information that is incorrect. The sample letter you included in the packet will be very helpful as they begin the process of improving their credit scores. I look forward to working with you in the future.
On behalf of the Danvers Housing Assistance Trust (DHAT), I would like to thank you for your participation in our First Time Homebuyers Program. Because of your contribution to this program, DHAT was able to provide a service to potential first time homebuyers. The Danvers Housing Assistance Trust endeavors to coordinate at least one First Time Homebuyer Seminar per year, usually sometime in the spring and fall. If you would like to recommend speakers for our Fall 2008 program, please forward my contact information or inform me of how to contact the potential speaker. I will retain your contact information as I may wish to call on you again to participate in the Fall program. Again, thank you for your participation.
Matt was a guest speaker during our Transitions to Adulthood class, a weekly life skills course taught by the GED Case Managers which covers a variety of topics including financial planning, higher education, housing, time management, and health and wellness. Matt provided our students with various useful materials and gave instructions on goal setting, budgeting, credit scores, credit cards, and checking & savings accounts. Our students were given the opportunity, through activities and discussion, to explore financial issues relevant to their individual circumstances, and Matt diligently tailored his lessons to address their specific concerns and questions. Our students are grateful for the materials and information that was presented, and we look forward to working with Matt or other members of the Operation Hope teaching team in the future!
